MetatOGGer enables you to tag, rename and organize your Ogg Vorbis, FLAC, Speex and MP3 files. It allows you to rename files based on their existing tags and also by their folder path (useful if your folder path contains the relevant artist and album names). If you have music files with generic names (e.g track1.mp3) and no tags, the built-in acoustic fingerprint look-up (powered by MuzicBrainz) may be able to identify and tag the files for you. MetatOGGer can also gather artist information from a local database which is faster than online look-up but requires you to download the database file first. Other features include file organizing based on tag info (copy, move etc.), manual tagging and cleaning of unwanted tags.

It can search your computer for media files and automatically create a catalog that lets you access files by artist, category, year, bitrate and many other aspects. It also offers graphical statistics, playlist generation, as well as advanced search and built-in duplicate finder. Media Catalog Studio Lite supports MP3, WMA, APE, OGG, WAV, AVI, MPG, WMV and Audio CD files. The lite version is a Lite and has no limitations to manage local files, but can only index up to 5 Audio CDs.

MediaMonkey is a multi-featured music manager that includes many useful tools. It acts as a Music Manager, Scanner, Player, Encoder, Decoder, Converter, Grabber, Tagger, Renamer, Playlister, Locator, Cacher and more. It includes powerful scanning features of all music files, as well as a built in player and Encoder/Decoder. In addition Songs-DB can also convert among various types of files and extract (rip) data from audio CDs. Additional tools include a file renamer, ID tag editor (read/write) and a caching system that caches songs from removable media to HD and built-in support for CDDb.

Napster is back - and this time with high quality music downloads that are well organized and completely legal ... but not free. You can choose to purchase songs for 99 cents a piece or albums starting at $9.95. Napster offers a service similar to Apple`s iTunes, but we liked Napster better, since the interface is faster and there are more features to help you find the music you want. Napster includes a full listing for all Billboard charts dating back to 1956, and you can sample each song for 30 seconds, and instantly download/purchase it if you want. The program comes with an integrated music library that keeps your files organized, as well as built-in CD burning (powered by Roxio) to easily transfer your purchased music to a CD that can be played in your stereo or car. Even if you are not purchasing any music, Napster provides a great resource to search more than 500,000 titles, listen to 30 second samples, get artist information and more.

Toricxs MP3 Renamer is a MP3 file renamer and tag editor, that allows you to manage your entire collection of MP3 files. It can help you clean up file names, remove characters, apply uniform naming schemes from existing tags or file names and more. In addition, it allows you to move or copy files, keep backups of your original files (before renaming) and more. The program uses a wizard like interface that is intended to be easy to use, with additional help and demo modes - yet we found the software a tad confusing and it will probably require some getting used to.

The GodFather is an intelligent MP3 renamer and organizer, that helps you get rid of all those strange MP3 file names and convert them into a consistent name scheme, based on the artist, song, album information etc. contained in the MP3 tag. The program will scan your MP3 folders and automatically suggest candidates for new names, showing you the old and suggested name in the result window. ID3-Sync is a unique ID3 tag editor that is designed to correct or sync information in existing ID3/2 tags. Unlike batch editing tools, it provides a step-by-step editing approach based on a to-do list of files and allows you to review the existing information, and quickly change it if needed. It supports ID3v1 and v2 tags and you can easily transfer tag data between fields by simply clicking on the desired data. In addition, the program can rename your files based on a uniform scheme, lookup information via FreeDB, and comes with integrated MP3 playback.
