Scratch is a visual programming environment, that enables you to create interactive multimedia presentations, games and other applets that run in a web browser (Java). Scratch does not require you to learn any scripting language, you can drag and drop actions, conditions, sounds and other elements into the scrip window and arrange them like building blocks. You can share your finished project via the Scratch web site and also embed it in your own HTML code (with some efforts).

Photostage enables you to create multimedia slideshows from your images and share them with family and friends as video files or on CD/DVD. You can add transition effects, audio narration or background music, create zoom effects, adjust image settings, crop and rotate your photos, add text captions, insert video clips and more. The finished slideshow can be converted to several formats for computer and mobile devices (iPod, phones, PSP etc.), or burned to CD or DVD media.

Digital Clip Factory enables you to create video slideshows from a series of still images. You can customize the transition times and zoom effects and also load background music from WAV or MP3 files. The program supports JPG and GIF images and can output the slideshow to WMV format in different resolutions.

MASH allows you to bring your desktop and presentations to life with Microsoft Agent animated, talking characters. You can easily compose and playback custom Microsoft Agent scripts by simply selecting the options, characters, styles etc. from the interface. Unlike many other MS Agent based tools, Mash also allows you to let the character speak something and show something else in the balloon. This allows you to properly pronounce words (e.g foreign words or custom pronunciation) while displaying the correct spelling in the balloon. Using the software, you can launch programs, documents, and more with your voice or save your presentations as standalone .EXE file, PowerPoint, Email Stationery, HTML Scripts, WScript, Visual Basic, and VBA. Mash has been around for quite some tim, and can be considered to be the most complete MS Agent tool out there. It not only offers a variety of output options that accommodate novice users, as well as webmasters and programmers, but also comes with many options allowing you to configure every aspect of the animation.

ImageToAVI allows you convert a collection of image files (BMP, JPEG, and GIF) into an AVI movie slideshow, that can be used to create a DVD or VCD (using your favorite DVD authoring software), or for playback on your computer. You can select the images to include, set a delay time between slides and also select a WAV background music if desired. The AVI output supports any codec installed on your system. Please note that you will need to change the default frame rates per second to 1 (see our screenshot) in order for a slideshow to play properly.

ClipFactory allows you to capture content off your desktop and compile it into a slideshow presentation with optional MP3 background music. The program provides an easy to use recording component with a view finder that can be dragged anywhere on your desktop. Similar to a camera, you push a button to capture a scene and can later re-play them and add sound. The compiled presentation can be saved as a .mio file and used online or offline. In order to view the mio files however, a viewer must be installed, unless the program is present on the machine.
