Cam2PC is a solution for digital camera owners that helps you transfer pictures to the PC and provides image viewing and management features. It also makes transfer of images from your camera easier by automatically creating folders and sub-folders based on date or description. It can optionally rename the files as well, either by date, ad incremental numbers and more. Once the images are transferred, it can immediately start a (full-screen) slideshow, open the built-in image browser, open the folder etc. Additional features include favorite folders, EXIF reader, RAW viewer, image rotation, conversion and resize and more.

Zero Assumption Digital Image Recovery is an easy to use data recovery tool for the recovery of accidentally delete image files on removable media disks (Compact Flash, SmartMedia, Memory Sticks etc.). The interface is very easy to use, just select the device that contains the images that need to be recovered and specify the folder to save the images to. Zero Assumption Digital Image Recovery works with images that have been deleted or formatted by the camera. Supported formats are TIFF, Exif, JPEG and GIF. We tested it successfully with a freshly camera formatted 1GB Flash card and were able to recover all images.

ImageQuery allows you to search your digital camera images, based on EXIF and IPTC meta data contained in the files. It offers a SQL-like query language that provides great flexibility to find images that match even the most complex criteria. A wizard makes it easy to generate the query, using simple select options, and if you are familiar with SQL, you can also edit the query string directly. ImageQuery does not require you to create a database, but searches your images in real-time. The results can be viewed as thumbnails, or as a list, that can be exported to other formats. Additional features include regular expression search, multiple query buffers and an option to launch a 3rd party application (e.g your image editor) with the selected image. In addition, you can perform standard file operations, including move, copy, copy thumbnails to manage the results of your search.

Stamp lets you rename your digital camera photos so they sort in chronological order. It uses the EXIF metadata that is contained in digital photos and renames the files, using the date information as the name, in addition to incremental numbers as well as optional batch information and sequence numbers. Since the program sets the date information as first part of the file name, they can be easily sorted in Windows Explorer, using the true creation date. Stamp can also maintain the original file name and include it as part of the new name, and download images directly from your camera. All operations can be previewed and the output saved to a different folder. The program can extract metadata dates from any JPEG or TIFF image file that contains standard DCF/EXIF metadata. In addition, it can also read metadata from several proprietary formats, including CIFF dates in CRW RAW images and RIFF dates in AVI videos and WAV audio files.

Exifer is an image viewer that allows you to manage the metadata (EXIF/IPTC) of pictures taken by digital cameras. One of its main features is the ability to backup and restore EXIF data for all or selected images, which allows you to edit the photo with external software, and then restore the original EXIF data to the edited image. In addition, the program also enables you to insert professional watermarks into your images, that can contain dynamic information, including date, year and any available EXIF or IPTC information. Exifer can also rotate images, insert thumbnails, export EXIF/IPTC, rename, redate and run a full-screen slideshow of your images.

Digital Camera Enhancer does the hard job of noise reducing and automatic balance control for you. The program works best if you have images taken under poor lighting conditions (indoor, shadows etc..). GetCanon! is an image downloader for Canon cameras, that can be used as an alternative the the original Canon software. While it does not provide the fancy interface, thumbnails and other features, it allows you to quickly do one thing - download your images to a folder named after the current date. In addition, it can rotate them automatically and optionally delete the images from the camera after downloading them. The entire process can run fully automatic, so all you have to do is launch GetCanon!

ExposurePlot is a unique tool for photographers that generates statistical graphs for exposure information, contained in the EXIF data of digital photos. It analyzes focal length, ISO, aperture (F-Stop) and shutter speed and generates graphs that display the percentage used, times used and combinations of these values. The statistics can also be filtered by camera model. It allows a photographer to analyze his/her shooting habits and/or equipment usage.

Exif Image Viewer allows you to view the EXIF data in digital camera images. It works with all standard EXIF images and offers special support for Nikon and Canon users. Additional features include support for portrait images, several effects and more. A nice, easy to use tool that is useful for any digital camera owner. TIM USB Transfer is designed to retrieve images from digital cameras and store them in a folder of your choice. It supports any camera that installs as a removable drive (most of them do). Features include batch conversion to multiple formats (JPEG, BMP, PNG...) as well as batch renaming, using the date or other naming schemes. You can also send images by email, the program can automatically attach an optimized copy of the selected image to your default email client. Additional features include rotate, resize, crop and more. The interface could use some work and the program is quiet memory hungry.

Smart Photo Statistics enables photographers to gather EXIF statistics for their digital photo collection. The program scans a folder tree and generates a statistical overview for a variety of camera values, including model, f-stop, focal length, flash used, exposure and others. The statistics can be viewed as a text list or bar graph chart, and also exported as text or bitmap to the clipboard.

Exif Reader allows you to view the EXIF information contained in pictures taken with digital cameras. In addition to the standard EXIF JPG format, it also support several additional formats, including AdobeResource, TIFF/EP, CRW (Canon), NEF (Nikon) and many others. The program does not offer many image viewing options, other than a thumbnail display, however it provides detailed EXIF data, that can also be exported to CSV file.

ColorCastFX allows you to easily adjust and correct the gamma and color settings of digital images. If you have images where for example the grass is too dark, shadows were too heavy etc, give it a try. The program also works well with pictures where fill-in flash was not used and the camera underexposed the front objects.

NDWGeoTag enables you to add GPS location data to JPG images. If you are taking pictures and simultaneously track geo location data with a GPS unit, you can use this program to load the GPX data file and add Lat/Long or OSGB information to the EXIF headers of the photos. The program will parse the images and match them to the GPX data based on their EXIF date. You can also rename the images based on the date or position. NDWGeoTag can also be used to parse existing JPG images for GPS data.

Some of the more expensive cameras lets you to extend your exposure time even for few seconds(Sony 505V up to 8 sec). That s cool, but when you actually try it, your image will be .... full of stars! Tiny little white dots, all over. But these are not stars, of course...These are Hot Pixels. HotPixel Eliminator is here to fight against HotPixels! It will successfully remove most of the HotPixels traces. You could also use Dark Night Shots option to remove additional "blue" noise chunks.
