Gsplit
GSplit is a powerful file splitter that lets you split your large files (like Self-Extracting and Zip archives, multimedia, song, music, picture, document files...) into a set of smaller files called pieces. These pieces are easier to copy to floppies, distribute over the Internet or through E-mail, share with friends or colleagues, archive to Zip disks or CDs. The pieces can be easily combined, using the generated Self-Uniting Executable, that automatically restores the original file for you without requiring GUnite. GSplit also includes advanced features like different splitting methods (blocked or spanned disks pieces), CRC32 checks (detects file corruption), splitting logs, keep file information, create specific pieces with your own names and shell integration,
Dariolius
Have you ever needed to give files to a friend, or take file home from work, only to find they are too large to fit onto a floppy disk or to send them by email? Dariolius allows you to split the file(s) into smaller parts, allowing you to fit them on multiple disks or send them by email. You can choose to later recombine the files using either a DOS batch file or a merger program, depending on your needs. Dariolius offers you several options when splitting files, you can either specify the exact size of each part or simply tell the program how many parts you want the file to be split in. If you intend to send the files over the internet, the program can also calculate the best size, based on the tranfer speed. The interface is easy to use and hardly requires any further explainations.
MaxSplitter Free Edition
MaxSplitter allows you to easily split a file directly from Windows Explorer by right-clicking the file and choosing "Split with MaxSplitter" from the context menu. You can choose whether to split into a specific number of pieces, or to make every piece a specific size. MaxSplitter comes with 6 pre-defined sizes, among these are the 2 common disk sizes: 720 Kb and 1.44 Kb. The program also features the ability to create a batch (.BAT) file so that the files can be rejoined without requiring the maxSplitter software to be installed.
KFK
KFK lets you split large files into multiple parts and later merge them again to rebuilt the original file from the split pieces. You can define custom sizes for the split parts, select from common sizes (CD, Floppy etc.) or specify the number of splits you want to get as a result. The program also supports disk spanning, allowing you to split large files over multiple Floppies or CDs.
Splitting
Splitting is a simple file splitting tool that allows you to split a large file into multiple pieces. It comes configured with some of the common media sizes (Floppy, CD etc.) and can also use custom sizes. The program can create a batch file, that can later join the split files. Splitting also integrates into the Windows Explorer right click menu and files can be split via the SendTo menu.
Splitter Light
With Splitter you can split large files and directories (including subdirectories) into parts of 1.44MB or custom sizes. It is useful to either fit the data on a floppy disk or transfer it by email. To unsplit the data, you need to run Splitter again and select the files to be reunited, it should therefore be included on the floppy disk. Splitter will leave sufficient room, calculating it s size to make it fit on the floppy.
